Adult Programs

Join us for an engaging workshop designed exclusively for educators inspired by Preoccupied: Indigenizing the Museum, a BMA initiative that honors the rich and ongoing contributions of Native artists and communities. All educators are welcome!

The BMA presents a screening of maɬni – towards the ocean, towards the shore (2020), directed by Sky Hopinka, followed by a talk with the filmmaker. This film screening is presented in conjunction with Don’t wait for me, just tell me where you’re going, a series of short experimental films by Native artists selected by guest curator Sky Hopinka as part of the wide-reaching BMA initiative Preoccupied: Indigenizing the Museum.

Art After Hours returns with an evening inspired by Preoccupied: Indigenizing the Museum. Enjoy a special amplified violin performance by exhibiting artist, composer, and musician Laura Ortman (White Mountain Apache). Learn the art of traditional wampum with artist Zach Cole and make your own wampum piece with handpicked shells. H3irloom Food Group will serve specialty cocktails and appetizers. We'll see you on the dance floor!

Art After Hours also features late-night access to the galleries and one free food or cocktail item with the price of admission. This event is for adults ages 21 and older.
